A major move against the Garleans with an expansion that visits two of the major outpost cities would be amazing...I have no faith in it, but would be amazing. Doma and Ala Mhigo...ugh that would be too much for my heart, and the RP would be awesome! I really do hope for dancer, I want Roe male dancers twirling around the field like woah.

The thing with a mage tank...is that I would expect it to work somewhat like DRK already does, so I am not sure how much of a game changer that would be. It could become a higher DPS tank, but would likely start to rely on better armor, or max armor to keep up with other tanks in defense/health, and in this game, armor doesn't have the kind of stats that would be needed to keep a mage tank going unless it was like all the other tanks and therefor not much of a mage. A sort of RDM/Elemental Fencer would be interesting, but probably upset lore a bit. Using elemental magic to produce buffs and debuffs, upping the burst ability of RDM to something near SMN, but work the job different...that may just be a glamour over SMN with no pet though. I am not going to fight SAM, I think it should happen, fits well into the lore, could provide us with more Doman lore, and would work well for either DPS or Tank, though as a tank who knows how that would go over. I don't think they will do it as a patch, on the fact that Yoshi-P no Kami asked his team what they least liked about working on this game, and the overall answer was patch job introduction was the worst and there was a fear of mutiny over it haha. I just want Ronin to be walking around all over the place, complete with chest bandages and off-shoulder yukatas and all that. Bring. them. on.

I agree, it would be pretty hard to fix armors...still rooting for smaller Hummingway type rabbit people, we do indeed have so many medium to tall races >,<;;; I am all for both SAM (because ronin types will never get old to me) and RDM (because fencing through highschool and college, then being a mage lover ontop), but I think all these new shinies per expansion will need to start changing how we do the job/class mechanics. Is anyone else hoping in anyway shape or form for a skip ability? Like, at the very least for subsequent characters or -something-. I can only do so much leveling on alts while trying to do content and trying to RP >.>;;;

This prompt though...how do I choose which ones I absolutely adore?! Summoning up old ghosts of friends past, and asking me to choose which affected my rose colored image of the world? How dare you?! (No really though, I am gonna start with some ones I can't stop thinking of for any lifetime.) To Catch a Thief (1955) Starring the incomparable Cary Grant and Grace Kelly Directed by the one and only Alfred Hitchock I feel as if less than that could be said, and it would still be enough. This film is stated to be a thriller/romance, but my question is as to what thrill that genre title speaks? In this one, the old tomcat thief turns straight going, but low and behold, the jewels still get stolen, who could be the culprit. You have to see this one just so you can watch Grace Kelly stand and waiting or watch her driving through the hills of the French Riviera with golden locks flowing out behind her, there are numerous ways you could watch Grace Kelly and get a thrill. That is the age old beauty of this one, the thrill is in the vision, the imagery of cinema captured in the small moments like so many films of this time. Next up: Roman Holiday (1953) Starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck Directed by William Wyler In this one, two true stars of the screen, come together to give us a lighter fair of fun and adventure, for the escapists in all of us. As the name states, an unexpected Roman Holiday is had by all, when a princess can't take the bonds of responsibility and a reporter must choose between his work and the woman who enchants his heart unknowingly. In the above scene (and the one in the header), the most recognizable of the film, a naive princess risks limb with the words of her new dashing knight in 1950's suit, as she tests her hand in the Mouth of Truth. Lastly, and she will come up, one must see every single Marilyn Monroe film. To say that she is divine and transcendent, of her time and of the expectations of society and popular culture, is understating her work. That she was an artist, and the magnet of every heart and eye and soul of the time, is a given once you view her in even the most elementary of scripts. Hopefully someone shares their favorite, or I can share mine later, maybe both! (Thanks for this prompt, these old films make me smile and my heart to feel a little lighter, and that is priceless these days.)

Is there no chance that this could come to peace between all parties? There is a petition to Parliament already at enough signatures to be seen, though I am certain they can just drop it after looking at it for one second. If immigration rules can be reconsidered for each individual nation, and Scottland be allowed back in, perhaps some reason could be seen to help settle much of the EU? The pound's dropping worth is also something I feel they should consider, since the EU has been doing so well by world standards since its creation. As someone who has always appreciated the cultural differences of the European countries, and their ability to, when needed, work things out in the recent lifetimes, I would hate to see that standard be broken in this manner. (To be clear, I am of the US, so I am mostly asking what can be done, if anything, to help resolve this)

Not sure why this was...but Einstein and Aymurica look perfect for one another...like, one has paler skin and white hair and then the other has tanner skin with black hair. I found that very strange for some reason. On another not, the nostalgic direction of this patch was fully felt by me. The scene where the camera pans onto the helm and the flower at the open window, was so in the vein of FF that is hurt. I loved this end, except for what happened with the eyes...now that was just dumb.

You could make a call that will fall on deaf ears, to have someone help you get a house? Maybe someone who isn't clamoring over your trampled body to get their second or third house would do so, but who knows? I think I am waiting for apartments, which seem to make more sense than getting a full house for a single person which could have been used for an FC that houses over a hundred. But hey, maybe they will want one of those on top of their second or third house, and I will be the next trampled body face down in the dirt/sand/stone? The question about Magical Tattoos has been discussed in those threads linked above. Some will give examples of it being done, but most say it would be harder to justify. If you like the idea, I say do it, but research those threads and come up with your own answers for those questions when someone asks them before, during, or after a battle RP, so that you aren't only able to say: "Because I want to." Being confident and well studied in the idea, and having good explanations for it, are the best ways to get your RP across the divides we have in RP in our community. If you want to just say the "because." you are welcome to that too, but it becomes a thing that other RPers worry about (sometimes to ridiculous lengths mind you) that you may just say the same thing to anything proposed no matter how implausible it is. Take that with the jaded grain of salt it was given in, and you will be fine!

Like was said above, never mundane! Just...yeah, not to the power level of other MMOs, which I played and RPed in as well. I think I had a good setup in starting at the beginning of the game, and therefor having a chance to get used to it rather than being thrown into the middle of it cold turkey. Some hope may be on the way, as some RPers have been speculating the new lorebook due out this year at some point, could contain information on how rare/average more powerful jobs and items are. If that is the case, who knows? It could change all of how we think about things in this community. Unfortunately, that is most certainly months away, until then join some of the hunt events, look for some RP partners who enjoy hunting monsters, and get something together! Good luck my dear!

Ultimately what isn't being said here is: The level of power your character would wield, is beyond the level norm of the RP community on RPC at the very least. This is going to be one of those situations where while the story is interesting, and I totally understand a want to not have to scrap it, you will need to find a good group to fit in with to make it work. A group that doesn't necessarily stick to the lore norms generally accepted. This is not a chastisement sort of deal, more of a way to inform you that you will probably need to dial it back somewhat to get a good fit if you want regular "meet on the street or at events RP". Unfortunately, compared to other MMOs with similar RP capability to FFXIV, those worlds were set up to a level of power where you could easily be a master of something and still be relevant to everyone else, whereas in FFXIV the lore and devs have set things up in a way that only certain people and groups have the sort of power you have included into your story. That mindset often deters people from staying here as they want to explore higher ability for their character, but I encourage you to stay! My best help besides the info above? Some of it has been said. ~Choose one or two jobs to have ability in. -Probably not WHM as that is hard to get into, maybe if you want to keep healing magic, do CNJ as stated above. -To be an IC bard, one doesn't have to be an archer, though having ability in archery would be something a Dragoon or a Dark Knight could very well have. I would say choose one of these you like and stick with that, if you want to tell stories or sing songs as a bard IC, then do that. -You do not have to switch jobs in content at all, I would let that sink into to help you choose what you think would be best for your character ICly to have. Best bet? Try something a little more minimal for your back story. I am not saying take all the juicy bits, but look at your character from the perspective of emotional development in our shared world, rather than the gaining of power. There are lots of stories still to be told in our world, research a little more, get a feel for how things are, then proceed with that. The new stuff looks awesome I think, very interesting choices this time around! The most interesting is the island setting, a theme that has been done before, but pretty niche to pokemon fandom. Now we get to see a fully realized island experience. The new characters are also adorable, and I am sure we will get to customize, but we know they are going to give us possible even better choices than last time. I like that all the new starters are really different than the starters we have seen before, and they are all very different from each other design wise. Stupidly I want that water seal so bad, in the past buizel has been a favorite of mine, and I feel like this is the design successor to that pokemon! Of the new legendaries, I am always going to choose a bat and a moon over any other thing, now they are together, I can die happy.

I just wanted to break up this polite love-fest to tell you that I hate you! On the other hand though, we should RP together! Momo is an academic type, loves adventures, that sorta thing, or a night at the bar/brothel, drop me a line!

This is very very close to House of Oschon's FC concept. We offer a mostly OOC environment for our FC members, who are treated as tenants ICly. We don't require an overall story, so characters can know each other very loosely or go to events together if they choose, etc. We do not, on a regular basis, provide rooms for everyone as far as providing the gil, but can make exceptions to allow members ready to get rooms to do so ASAP. Everyone -must- get along OOCly, at least be civil to each other. There is no room for drama that seeks to tear the group apart. The general ideas about settling everything fairly, and accepting everyone as they are, however they RP. The only thing I have found as a con to this FC method so far, is that many do not want to join an FC for fear they will be stuck with them forever, so we always make sure that people know, we will be as hands on or hands off as they like. We are busy RPers and gamers, but we do content regularly and don't mind helping within reason. Anyone who finds an opportunity for their character, that they feel fits them in more detail, is totally welcome to give notice of leave, and make their way to that group. Just a simple interview to make sure people aren't more crazy than usual, lay down the generals with a link to the FC Rules post, and point out the important things, and you are set! There is always room for another FC of the same concept, I hope that this helps you in some way!

Sounsyy can give you more source details, but in general, here are some Scholar bits: 1) How one becomes a SCH? Growing out of the knowledge of Arcanima, using elements of special ink, written strategy, and the aether of the natural world as well as their own aether stores, Scholars can summon great restorative magics to aid in the tide of battle. We are still discovering information about this lost art, but currently, Alka Zolka is the foremost expert of Nymian civilization and battle strategy, and has access to the most information on the subject. This NPC isn't of great importance, and I think it would be safe to say that he could be used to help either garner further personal study into Nym to become a Scholar, or even to provide the means to become a Scholar directly, without much fuss over using an NPC character to help you from the SCH Story Quests. Best thing to do it keep your interaction with him to a minimum, maybe you are a student of his or something more innocuous, and he helped you? As long as you don't affect his plot, and only he affects yours, there should be no issue. As far as actually becoming a Scholar? A soulstone would be your best bet. In the SCH quests, with other Nymian artifacts, a soulstone is found which has a fairy bound to it. Later you receive this crystal and become a Scholar, and seeing as that happened without too much fanfare in the story itself, it could be replicated just the same for you. Perhaps you plan an expedition into the Nymian ruins? Or you coerced a trader who journeyed there to sell you some rare artifacts? Get creative! 2) Fairies! Okay, we actually don't know a great deal about Fairies, as mentioned above, they are in the realm of Elementals, but are lesser, and have been stated to be created from the energies and elements of the natural world, by the Scholar themselves. It is unclear whether all Fairies are bound to the soulstones of their Scholar, but in this case, the fairy was, and I think it would be safe to have that be the case for every Scholar. There is a possibility, like Egis of SMNs, that these fairies hold a part of their creator in them as well, as they can be absorbed into the SCH, but how this is RPed would be up to you. 3)The Civilizations of the Fifth Astral Era, coming out of the Age of Frost, were peoples who delved deep into the arcane magics, bringing them to heights that the world had not yet known in many respects. Nym was one of these civilizations, and a participant in the War of Magi. As stated above, eventually Nym was brought to heel by a plague which transformed much of the inhabitants into Tonberries, while some escaped by sea leaving those trapped to rot. Before that, it stood against great armies empowered by White Magic and Black Magic, and so, much could be said of its military prowess and magical tacticians. The ruins of Nym, can both be visited and entered near Camp Bronze Lake in Upper La Noscea, the floating parts can be seen not far from here as well. Entering the Wanderer's Palace will take you into the ruins themselves. Tonberries (btw), are not all evil, some may have their wits restored to them with their memories, but playing the Scholar quests will give you more information on that. It should also be noted that the darkness of the Sixth Umbral Era, was brought into being by the War of Magi, which eventually caused the Elementals, who feared for the damage to Hydaelyn and Eorzea from the Magi Nations, and decided that a Great Flood would be needed to wipe out these magics. This flood was a Calamity which would cover all but the tallest peaks in a sea and bury WHM, BLM, and SCH knowledge for ages hence. We are currently learning the fate of some of these peoples now with new lore coming at each patch. I hope this helps you in some way, I would love to see more lore abiding Scholars out there, keeping the study and use of this great magic alive in-character! Good luck!

I have said this a hundred times, and I will keep saying it, for one reason or another people encourage "walk-up" RP at the QS as a valid method of obtaining RP...this is generally not the case. With walk-up RP, there are about 80% of those people waiting around to be walked up to, and then 15% who don't actually want walk-ups lol, then you have your 5% approaching. CAN rp be obtained from this method? Yes. Is it giving you a good amount of RP that is available? I would say definitely not. As the others above have said, get out to events, make connections by going to group and things, maybe find an FC or a LS that looks interesting, slowly you will gain the RPers who commonly like to RP with you, then when you have your base you can work in others to have fun with at random. Lastly, as Virella pointed out, and I have tested this myself, Lalafells don't get RP as easily, you need to actively look for it, and make plots with people and really dig into a group. There will be some naysayers to this, but take it from me, that is just how it is, because Lalafells are seen as the gag character, so if you fill that role well, you have a spot, if you are trying to be mostly serious, other don't know how to get over that hump and accept you as easily as they would if you were a buxom catgirl or an amazonian Roegal. It can be done though! Keep striking out on your own, and do as many have suggested above, and after a bit of time, you will get your RP!

The biggest question then becomes, in XV-2, will it be entirely based on fashion, with the team changing clothes left and right for power ups and "final forms"? So many questions answered, so many questions still burning... (No but really though, I am actually pretty excited for this release, in a way I certainly wasn't for XIII, and that isn't even a sexual joke. This is the most fresh and different the series has been in a while, and I am curious to see how it all turns out!)

(Wrote this as Edda posted apparently >,<) The tribal looking gear, more popular for these sorts of characters, is something you will need to have your character leveled and in the HW areas to get. Probably -the- most popular piece you can see here: http://i1377.photobucket.com/albums/ah58/Nevermorelies/Wilding_zpsygr7i3c3.png The arms, legs, and feet of this set are particularly tribal/native themed, and can be acquired in some shade by BRD/MCH, Healers, Tanks, and DRGs. Really the entire set, including the body, is a set which could be called tribal themed, with furs and skins, and small trinkets adorning much of the armor. Weapons which I think could work: Bladed Lance, obtained from Mogshop, is somewhat tribal looking. Darklight Harpoon Gridanian Harpoon Trench Harpoon, which can be obtained at the Gold Suacer. I am certain there are more things which can be suggested, hope this gave you something to make a goal of for your character, having the perfect set ICly can be a great motivator!
