Seconded on the above! That said, I've had a blast from start to finish RP'ing with Evangeline aka McBEEEEEEEEF. From feels to witty banter it's been shenanigans that I definitely keep looking forward to.

Just wanted to pop back in to say that my friends and I did a test run on the wrestling tabletop system and while the game itself is easy and fun enough, having other players as the announcers definitely added another level of hilarity (or I suppose it could be seriousness depending) to the game. Overall fun times once we got the hang of it. We'll be starting up our actual game later this week.

This was my plan pretty much. I was thinking I could maybe get some nice reference shots for art-stuffs maybe using this.

Thanks Kage for grabbing some of mine earlier, here's the full list so far for +1'ing. Where are all the tribal Lohengarde? Does the anti-Duskwight sentiment in the Black Shroud carry over into Ishgard? There are hints towards this but could you please confirm if House Dzemael is a Duskwight house/allows in Duskwights? Seriously, are there Duskies in Ishgard? Could you tell us about any Duskwight specific cultural practices? We've seen the structure and military set up for each of the other three city states, any chance of us getting that kind of information for Ishgard? What was Sharlayan day to day life like? AST Question here: What exactly do they read in the sky? We know there are the six in game cards which all correspond to constellations, that there's a dragon star, and that the sun, moon, and even (formerly) Dalamud were taken into consideration as well. But are there other planets in the solar system they can see too? Are there other major constellations or stars? Do the Twelve factor in at all, since they each have a month aspected to them? Are there rituals and offerings left to the Twelve? If so, what sorts of things are left and could you give us a description of any of these rituals? Can you offer any other details on worship/religion surrounding the Twelve other than Halone and Nald'Thal? Could you PLEASE elaborate on the "alternative methods" used to become a White Mage? This was mentioned ages and ages ago but it hasn't been touched on since. Even noting that it's still on the way/being considered would be appreciated. Can the Elementals (in the Black Shroud) distinguish between individuals? It's strongly suggested that they Greenwrath all over the place because they can't tell the people who caused the Greenwrath from the innocents who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. So is it that they can't tell the difference or that they don't care? How does one become a Temple Knight in Ishgard?

Definitely in on this for Aedan (Team RedSteel actually), but out of curiosity, will the two events (Hunters/Trackers cups) be happening at the same time? We'll be doing the Hunter's Cup at the least. For what it's worth (and Jali can correct me if needed) but I think Team RedSteel has room for 2 more since...well it's just Aedan & Jali the Red right now LOL.

People who hunt criminals you say? Ser Martiallais Heuloix, Ishgardian Knight at your service. 8-) That aside, I'd second Garrett's suggestion of joining the Ishgard RP LS if you have room. There's quite the menagerie of heretics, knights, and everything in between gathered in one place.

Same, it would completely ruin the atmosphere. Immersion's bound to be ruined at some point. What I'm curious about is why your immersion wasn't ruined several years ago? The motorcycle, after all the other content, is what's pushing you over the edge? To be honest, I think it fits in just fine, considering this is going to be riding alongside Magitek Armor. That'd be kind of badass, I feel. That comic is surprisingly true. Honestly I tune out a lot of the nonsensical things players tend to do. Not to say I'm always in super srs RP mode but the bike just rubs me the wrong way. Maybe if it looked more like Magitek/the Magitek mount that we've seen in the setting thus far rather than the more hi/future tech (IMO) look that Cloud's bike has, I'd be more okay with it. As it stands it just seems to stand out against everything else. Plus, sorry, I'm perfectly fine with NOT seeing roving bands of Miqo boy band bikers rolling around. Might be badass to some but just doesn't seem the place to go for the not-Mad Max vibe. But again, just my opinion. Also, in before "Dragoons jousting from motorcycles" becomes the next big thing/debate.

Hate to be "that guy" but I actually really, really, REALLY dislike the idea of them adding the motorcycle unless they change the world a LOT between now and when it's added. /shrug

Continuing my Warhammer-y posts this morning I feel this is fitting here.

For you 13uddy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My characters are open to die, but like others have said...give it some kind of point/purpose. FF makes you put a lot of time/effort into getting a character to a good place so rerolling isn't something to do lightly. I would actually need both hands to count the number of my own characters I've killed off in other MMOs (mostly CoH and WoW). With that said, kind of like what Virella mentioned, that isn't exactly the 'feel' that a lot of the community really goes with. I debated a long time about just killing off Zarek Windsoul, who I originally started 2.0 with, and remaking him as something else. He's a low-mid level power character and to me it'd help kind of hammer home the point (at the time) in FC stories that the world really is dangerous, but instead I shelved him. Given his lifestyle, I imagine Aedan won't live a long life but he's stubborn and won't go into the bright light quietly. And while Martiallais began as an alt, he's become my main and even he's not immune in my eyes. I mean, I've been planning the story arc/plot "Who killed Martiallais Heuloix?" for some time now which is kind of a (partial) cop out but hey. To me as long as they've got stories left to be told, I can (as I believe Spahro put it once) do a WHOLE lot more to a character and make them live with it than simply kill them off.

I've had the urge to play a character who only spoke in rhymes (whether by curse or some other reason). Don't know why, I've always thought it'd be something of an interesting challenge to do (hello thesaurus!) though I worry it'd end up being annoying to RP with.

Nevahe I enjoyed the info and discussion that came out of your Sharlya thread! You have my compliments for being open to suggestions and changes to your character's story.

Back when I originally started playing Martiallais, I would literally play/listen to this video before I RP'd him. Getting the 'feeling/tone' of his words right was a big deal for me (since before then I'd been playing Zarek, an Ul'dahn street tough basically) as it was my first steps into RP'ing as an Ishgardian and there were only the NPCs in Coerthas to go by. Nowadays I like to go with music in general, a nice soundtrack to fit the scene typically (I love 8tracks.com for this) though I sort of default to something softer unless it's a heavy combat/hunting RP.
