I'm not at all interested in FF as a series (in fact, I only paid for XIV after giving it three chances and it was mostly the presence of friends in the game that got me to stay). I'd say the only reason I know anything about the past titles has been just absorbing it over time that I've been playing video games in general. If someone who's 12 and is playing XIV as their first MMO, I could see how they might not know anything about FF games earlier than, say, XIII.

Don't worry, I've been gone for the entire 3-day weekend too. I wanted to make the alt-sheet based around gunning/crew-killing but I need to take a better look at the rules to figure out ho to do it effectively.

Jana steered a small ferry once using Physique to work the rudder, but I don't think that'll translate to this kind of ship very well

I wouldn't care normally, but right now housing is per-character and not per-account; FCs are getting screwed out of houses they should be able to afford as it is. Even if we're optimistic with apartments being however many per ward and not per server, Balmung is just too big. Anyone can already make 8 characters on another server and pay to transfer too, being able to do that with 10/12/16/etc. is just another problem.

Jana's boat sheet would be centered around gunning and her direct ship stunt would probably be loading up airburst shells to attack crew directly. I'm at work and can't go make a mock-up sheet now though.

I can help An's ship if you want; Jana can contribute her airburst shells from the end of the last part of the story. She's got experience with Bertha cannons too, though it's not really reflected on her sheet.

While it would be rad for Jana to command some kind of gunboat, I can't think of a plausible way to do it IC. I'll keep an eye on events for now.

Really, as long as your Miqo'te isn't named Von Darkness or something, you can make them a native character with an outside name. (Though I've found a lot of Keeper names seem like pseudo-Middle Eastern?)

I'm not sure what an LGBT theme entails. I don't think you mean "courtesans" or ERP, right? We have plenty of both if that's what you meant. But if you just mean LGBT characters doing stuff, there are plenty around without being in specific groups for it (at least for the LGB; I've yet to met any trans characters since plenty of people OOCly accept Fantasia as a thing.)

The stat bonus and job-exclusive skills from a 60 jobstone matter a lot!

That really gets me, healers who just sit around with their thumbs up their asses while everyone else is fighting. I don't care if you don't switch to Cleric Stance because you're new (though this is rarely the case with these people who're just lazy/leeches). Throw out a Stone or something. I suppose the actually-worse thing is healers who wanna heal so badly they're spamming Cures on the tank at 90% HP, ripping aggro, then running around like a chicken with its head cut off away from the tank/rest of the party.

Stupid Cat Jana used "Lost Hope" as a pseudonym for a little while after people thought she'd died, offered to her by a Hellsguard. I don't know if it would still apply.

I'll post Jana for the second event if new players don't fill all slots. It's exactly the kind of thing she would take interest in, but she is one of the Mook Chainsaws of the group...

I can't look up the quest text myself because I'm at work, but from what I remember the Keepers from the ARC questline are poachers unaffiliated with them, like the common enemies seen in the East Shroud.

From what read on 4chan the internet, Gen 2 will be released in August or September? I do know for sure that all gens will be added over time.

Even if Perfect Dodge hadn't been changed (I didn't know, I only played NIN long enough to get the 50 relic and never touched it again), I wouldn't qualify it. You hit the hotkey and are given a get-out-of-damage-free card for however many seconds it's active. Not really comparable to the dodges in action games, including those that use invincibility frames since they're very brief.

Do you maybe mean Paras, the bug with the parasitic mushrooms on its back? I caught a few of those and it's evolved form at the anime con.
