Sailor July Posted May 25, 2015 Share #102 Posted May 25, 2015 I've been having a bad day, a head-holding, sobbing, depression and anxiety filled day. So Jen and I talked, and she cheered me up, and she suggested we have a tent night. We have a fenced in garden in the backyard, which right now is just dirt because... Utah. That's why. So we set up the tent, moved the fire pit into the garden and will sit out there with the fire, and manga, and journals, and tarot cards and a good board game or a few. I can't wait. Just escaping with her, sitting outside, doing nothing but enjoying the silence and the open space. It's bliss. Link to comment
Maril Posted May 26, 2015 Share #103 Posted May 26, 2015 For the past 7+ years I've been experiencing my feet going sore after relatively little activity, 3-4 hrs of walking for example. I finally decided to tell a family member about these woes, and they reveal that they have footsies problems too. They tell me a place to go to, which takes prints of your feet and figure out if you have any symptoms for foot problems. I went there today and the whole thing took like 15 mins.. TLDR: I have high arches. I got insoles for my shoes and they help a lot. It wasn't even that expensive. It's a good thing I finally got it sorted. It has been an issue for so long that I thought this was /normal/ - it wasn't until last year that I slowly started to realize that other people do not have THAT sore feet after so little activity. Kurt S. Posted May 27, 2015 Share #104 Posted May 27, 2015 Feels good standing up for the little guy. So we're doing a WP HM run. Tank was fresh, Bard was decently geared and I was a flat i100. The healer, a WHM, was decked in full Dreadwyrm's including a zeta sporting Aug'd IW gear. Run starts, everything goes to shit. Healer is like berating all of us for being noobs. I take note of what he was doing the next go round. He's in cleric stance. I say nothing just yet. The tank, being so fresh was obviously feeling the pressure. He kept apologizing when he did nothing wrong, because I see him pop his cd's and holmgang things when it just got too dicey. Now that was beginning to bug me because you don't get that many people willing to tank anything these days and he's still getting shit for doing his job. We, meaning I, managed to 1v1 the first boss through some miracle. Healer starts berating us again. Halfway through the run the healer goes something like this. I tried to make sense of his less than average english. "Hey drg, I'm out dpsing you as a healer." "And?" "So that means you suck. -insert more epeen waving-" That's when I decided to tear him a new one for the sake of the entire team. "I won't deny that, but look at my gear versus yours. A zenith versus a zeta and pointing out higher dps? I smell a tryhard. I'm also not decked in Dreadwyrms but I think I have enough common sense to be a healer and not run cleric stance 24/7 SINCE THE START OF THE RUN. Did you know I'm a better healer then? Because my basic thrusts paired with bloodbath heals for way more than you could ever recover." "It's not like the tank would say anything though, he's been apologizing for his 'shitty' tanking this run when he's not doing anything wrong. He's pulling at his pace and you're just making the run harder by pulling more than he can handle and churn out less than average heals I think a BLM physickspamming heals for more." *Initiates vote dismiss* *Dismisses healer* *Gets a lower geared healer, probably not higher than i100. Finishes run without any further deaths.* *Gives a few tips to the tank.* It geels good to stand up for others. Also to help out the newer wave of aspiring tanks. Link to comment
Chris Ganale Posted May 27, 2015 Share #105 Posted May 27, 2015 I wonder if that was the same shit healer I got on Chao yesterday. Very similar actions, not as much epeen tho, until I called her out on her bullshit. Link to comment

Steel Wolf Posted May 28, 2015 Share #108 Posted May 28, 2015 I got official word today that my promotion to a supervisor position in my job was approved. While that might bite into my play-time a bit (it'll be a 3pm to midnight shift), I'm really looking forward to getting started. Even better, a VERY OBVIOUS idea was brought to my attention for RP in this very forum by people who are way brighter and more lovely at this than I am. Good damn day so far, I must say. ^^ Link to comment
Telluride Posted May 28, 2015 Share #109 Posted May 28, 2015 Got my summer schedule. As an employee of the local school system, I get 4 weeks off during the summer - the last week of June and almost all of July. Also, found out that since we go to 4-day workweeks during June - 7-5 M-Th - I will be officially off on Heavensward's early access say. So... hell yeah. 1 Link to comment
Aaron Posted May 28, 2015 Share #110 Posted May 28, 2015 Im getting another dog Monday to add to my canine family. Had gave one away to a friend who was leaving the country as a remembrance gift. Now I must save another dog from a pound because why not. I must stay at 2 dogs forever. 1 Link to comment
Gegenji Posted May 29, 2015 Share #111 Posted May 29, 2015 Car's back from the shop. They had to replace the back door entirely, along with the bumper and some of the interior frame... but got it all done in under four days. I dropped it off Tuesday at around 4pm, picked it up at about the same time today. So the fallout of a bad week has all but resolved itself in the span of another week. Pretty swank. Link to comment
Surreal Posted May 30, 2015 Share #112 Posted May 30, 2015 I woke up in time to get some piano practice in before work. During a part I was struggling in my brain just 'clicked' and I understood what I was supposed to be doing...and my fingers could do it. It was pretty amazing! Link to comment
Dravus Posted May 31, 2015 Share #113 Posted May 31, 2015 I decided to try my luck at being a tank. I'm a huge fan of classes that use swords and heavy armour but usually I do so as a DPS where possible. Since that isn't an option in FFXIV I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and so far it's not been nearly as terrible as I initially feared. Of course, as luck would have it when I queued up for a random low level dungeon after getting to level 40 purely through other means I ended up getting thrown into Qarn followed by Cutter's Cry. I was expecting something like Satasha to ease me into things but despite being thrown into the deep end it was quite the success! 3 Link to comment

The whole game takes your hand and builds the experience for PvE, even end-game stuff does this (but with deadly consequences). So bypassing and jumping in later content can be a omgomgomg... I am do tank.. eeek! moments. 1 Link to comment

Blue Posted June 1, 2015 Share #117 Posted June 1, 2015 I surprisingly found that my bank account had 6€ left that I did not remember of! I immediately ran to the store to buy some food for my cats and a bottle of water of myself. I was at the last cat food can and with only half a bottle of water left and didn't really know how to make us survive till this month's check would arrive (should be in a couple days) >_<... I've spent the last week consuming all the scattered reserves around the house because of no money, and even had to eat some expired stuff to get by. Amazing how so little money can mean so much. Good things that happened to me is that I started working at new construction site, street maintenance. Jerciex Posted August 5, 2015 Author Share #124 Posted August 5, 2015 I thought it is time to revive this thread by telling good thing that happened today! It is about my work! I was stressed about new construction site measurings, where I was assigned because there was no base information and it is first time I have been given so much responsibilities. After checking site and having meeting, I am relaxed now ^^ THtRtEA 1 Link to comment
13uddy Posted August 9, 2015 Share #125 Posted August 9, 2015 Not so much something that happened to me, but still something that made me very, very happy today! I just found out that my absolute all-time favorite Super Sentai series, Dekaranger, is going to be getting a new movie!!! http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/powerrangers/images/5/53/Dekaranger10years.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20150703124147[/img] Unfortunately, my screech of delight frightened my grandpa who stopped by to see if I needed anything from the store.
