First I suppose I assume mist folk are aged based on how the character looks. If there are other clues, like their search info or emotes I will use that. Actual age is a bit meaningless as the world time seems vague and RP passage of time does not really fit. So I go with young, middle age, old.

Switch the genders and that me. This has been my experience over decades of RP from Tabletop, BBS and MMOs. Even when I wrote stories my head-space was always better in the female view (imo). I would say my split is around 70/30 Fem/Male overall. I play to RP more than anything else, it is a channel for my creativity and I feel folks should go with what works for them and not what others would want to impose on you (for whatever reasons). In fact my ideal RP would be 100% RP interactions and relationships, or close to that. Though because of game and organization stuff I have to OOC with folks. I don't care what gender the other persons are in RL and don't expect me to fit any traditional RL type. I am what I am, And what I am needs no excuses

Good question. For me if I am in public then it is happening. Though I would add some thoughts to that to help the witnesses.. Not everyone accepts the same frame of reference a public place may be being used as being in a completely different place. the characters in question may be playing an NPC role. the scene itself may be not IC real, such as a dream or time travel or alternative reality. etc.. Your viewing window is your character You should only use what your character witnessed, when your character was IC Try to interpret it through the characters "eyes" not the players Try to add some vagueness or doubt into what was witnessed Don't add in OOC information you have Be OOC constructive with it Try to use it to advance things, not tear them down Accept that other RP differently, and we only get to RP through what we find in common I generally find people say many things about their style of RP but the reality falls short of the aspiration (myself included). So best to be tolerant if you want a wider circle of RP interactions.

With big engines real life airships can exceed 80mph, do the 80-100mph seems possible. With sailing ships being up to 25mph. With magic and stuff you could go beyond mundane physics in my view.

I agree this aspect is a bummer, we have just gone in twice and it helps when the content is a little older that we can just get through all the enemies quickly. I tend to not use them to complete the dungeon, so you don't have to rush and can restart it is a problem. With unsync the actual mobs/fights become "not a problem"

Great idea, I have often thought of weaving this in. I tend to re-purpose things for my own story, rather than adopt the SE versions. I have used many of the dungeons and Main Story raids for RP already. More stuff like this that makes the game almost become irreverent to our RP.

I have seen the green shoots of RP again out there away form the Cities. So just hold on and soon it will be roaring again. From myself and others I know the game has taken a front seat as we through the Stormblood content. Aside from a few impromptu RPs I have been out of it myself, one good reason is because it takes time to plan things and with new areas to include it will take a bit longer. I'm sorry you have only had the unsavory (if that's a term I could use.. maybe colorful is better.. who knows) side of the RP scene experience but that will change. For those trying to get the O2 codes for the items, which was supposed to be available today, there is a problem in the 02 app not giving out the codes. According to some Reddit posts I have read a fix is expected later today. I think it was quite clear that the incentives would only apply for as long as the world was considered a "New world". It was not made clear when/why it would cease having that designation - but that it would happen eventually was obvious. Well, said servers were created in the first place solely to help alleviate congestion... so it could be argued that it's just as obvious that the incentives would go away when those servers became subject to congestion themselves. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I would say to remove the "incentives" after two weeks would be quite crass. Especially as one of those is an XP boost on levels below 60, and would hardly have made much difference in this time. The actual incentives don't hurt anyone and removing them just has a negative impact on players. Unless of course it was all a trap!

Mateus for NA, but if you want EU I would go Omega. There are other options too.. check out the Linkshells list here to see what sort of stuff might be going on. Omega is a fresh server that is already well populated, so if you want to get in on the ground of the RP community now is a great time.

Well our FC may be of some interest in regards to trouble, as you may find swashbuckling and spell-slinging privateers there. Though all official, we will mainly be looking at the links from Limsa to the Far East and all that lies between. I think there is some reference as you mention, plus there is also the Goddess Nymeia (The Spinner). This seems to make fortune telling have some degree of actual in game reality, and not just be some made up parlor trick. Personally I make my fortune telling a mix of reality and parlor trick, by being open and general in your comments the victim client often fills in the rest. And with methods I would also look at the variety out there rather than be just another card reader. As an example check out some of the ideas on this site Serena's Guide to Divination - Methods, there are lots of other sites to get ideas from on the web. I personally go with a fortune card from a deck for a quick instant fortune and find that palm reading is really good for a more interactive fortune telling play. I even created a method for reading Miqo'te tails.

Just as an update, from playing an ALT on Omega. The Good It is populated Most of the apartments are free The Bad It is full it seems There are login queues All the housing is gone, bought mostly (~80%) by individuals not FCs "Gold"/Gil sellers are present I have not seen any RP in the world and no FC tags ending in RP (this could just be my bad luck)
