High praise, that! Thank you! With that said, kudos to Steel Wolf, Delial Grimsong, and Mistalv Arroway. All three of you decided to come along and join our crazy little FC in this story arc I pitched at you and helped with so very much behind the scenes from proofreading to offering ideas/suggestions and even listening to me ramble and vent due to the many stresses that sometimes come along with the elaborate art of cat herding that is called 'scheduling group RP events'. In character, all of you brought something special to the mix and I'm really looking forward to seeing not just how the story effects all three of those fierce characters, but how these beginnings of different connections play out. I was giving this a thought but have been a little cautious because as a friend was saying 'a free upgrade from windows, something must be wrong.' Is it very swish cheesy (full of holes) or some other drawbacks possibly? I hate to be that guy (as I said, I was giving it some thought) but nothing wrong with asking around before okay'ing the little icon in my taskbar.

This is probably about the same response Martiallais will display honestly. Couldn't have said it better myself. Zarek, however, will likely be fairly open with them given that I RP him as being the sort that knows somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody so I imagine somewhere along the line he's probably seen one or two before. Having them pop up in droves will be surprising but he'll likely shrug it off given that their gil spends as good as everybody else's.

Dragon Age! While I can understand the mages, I find myself siding with the less crazy end of the Templar spectrum. Character theme song - With or Without lyrics?

Well since we're getting off topic why stop now? There's a fairly sizable gap between 'courtesan' and 'concubine' in practice. A courtesan (which hey, I had to learn this too) was actually skilled in MANY things, not just sex. But let's not get OFF off topic here. I mentioned your poster title for the same reason I mentioned MSQ commentary for someone else in another thread. It's known that you dislike that sort of thing so having you call it out (again other than anything else) kind of casts it in a negative light. Was I attacking you? No. I never said it was bad or made any sort of judgements, just an observation. It actually wasn't even my opinion I was clarifying. I was pointing out how -I- read what someone else said in response to your post since it was becoming an "omg I can't believe you read it this way that's different from me". No more, no less. As you said yourself there's lots of opinions around regarding what it could be, which I do believe I pointed out in my initial post but that wasn't the bit that was quoted sooooooo.....

But while that might be the OPs first thought, it's not everyone's first thought or even intended manner of use. It could be a case of 'post history' (I mean look at poster titles) coming into play but I read it as being annoyed that while none of the other pictures had any sort of label or dialogue added to them, the OP specifically said COURTESAN RP for those outfits alone. I believe in the other thread where these were shown there was talk of Blue Mage and jokes referencing Aladdin made as well.

I actually wondered if that was a MNK look or not, it's one of the few outfits I've seen of the new stuff that I could picture Zarek wearing IC-ly.

Most of these really would only work for one of my characters but I'd still like to see similar/inspired looks ingame.

While typically your posts are really good and entertaining and fun to read....jfc we get it. You hate the MSQ. YOU HATE THE MSQ. YOU HATE THE MSQ. Please, fellow RP'er, step away from the story quest. It's going to be okay, I promise. I don't think anyone who's read your posts thinks for a second that you and the story are waiting for a reunion/makeup special of any kind. Honestly, and I have a friend who's an amazing roleplayer that's done this, you can skip every single cutscene. Every time I mention what's happened in the MSQ I literally get a big 'huh'. Maaaaybe give that a shot? Because no matter how much we yell and raise pitch forks about the quality (or lack thereof) found in the MSQ...it's still going to be there....just not being beaten like a dead horse in most threads. She could end up that way, though! Once she picks up her greatsword, she could go flying around on airships to deal with air pirates or something. Possibly being originally hired and then eventually enlisted with some military to do so (or just hang with Dogberry's crew!). It's all in how you work it. I'm backing Chachi and Dog on this one, Steel - you've suggested that you've not known what to do with your Roegadyn Hotness for a while. Why NOT jump on something that you find inspiring? Why can't Steel Wolf find what's missing in her life by taking to the skies? Going to throw in on this as well. Steel's in a place to make lots of choices/changes in her life, all things considered. Besides...I could totally see Steel leaping off a flying mount to axe some dragon. 8-)

This was a lot of fun. I just wanted to say thanks for letting me come and take part on Martiallais. I honestly wish I could've stayed longer...though to be fair when she asked about siblings that was a sore spot so it made a bit of sense for him to bow out then. >_>

That's likely due to, by and large, the collective of Eorzea either is too busy with infighting, dealing with threats within, and generally having their heads up their asses. As has been said more than a few times if Garlemald turned their full attention to Eorzea, it would very easily be conquered.

It's only the new areas right now but they mentioned that it could be something to come later, I think?

I actually want a griffin for Martiallais, while Zarek's never been a fan of flying so like Steel he'll probably go for something big. I'm thinking a dragon or the like. And clearly the fat chocos are flying by, wait for it....

There are quite a few people who don't have English as their first language. If it would make you more comfortable, you can always drop a quick OOC note to let them know and more often than not people are very understanding, I've found.
