Too much woman to handle?

"When we were considering the options, there were mentions of making female Au Ra more stocky and buff. However the data that's been complied about what race and gender are being used, indicate that Hyur Highlander females and Roegadyn females are not used by very many players. We definitely took that into consideration when finalizing the design of female Au Ra."

I knew a player of a female Highlander who lamented the fact she couldn't find a partner for her character because the 'desirable males' were scared off by the fact she was a Highlander female. Eventually, she fantasia'd to a Midlander and found happy love.

So, I wonder...do certain blokes find female Highlanders and Roegadyns emasculating and intimidating? If so, well, I find that hilarious, personally becau-...

Oh god, this is going to become a debate about toxic masculinity and feminism isn't it...

Most assuredly.

But highlander and roegadyn ladies are just as pretty as the elezen, midlander and miqo'te girls too. Not sure I could go for a lalafell. Height issues.

And who was this "we" that was scared off by Roe and Hotlander woman?

Is that's true, why don't male Au Ra look like Catboys?

You know what... forget it. If most of FFXIV's fanboi base gets its collective Vas Deferens all twisted shut over anything taller than a Midlander, send the Tall Girls my way. If that's toxic, cue Britney Spears, because she's on in 5,4,3...

I think all of the races are attractive, I just don't have the time or enough concepts floating around my head to play them all. I also prefer to pair my characters with others that happen to be around their height; since I play a Moon Keeper and a Midlander, this limits them to both Hyur clans, Miqo'tes and minimum height Elezens.

That about sums it up for me, but I can't speak for anyone else.

Here is the thing. RP shouldn't be all about romance. It should be about having fun! If people don't want to start a storyline with another because if how their character may look then to me it probably is someone I would want to avoid anyway.  I love how strong Highlander women look and am happy to play one. There are plenty of people out there that show them love, they probably are just looking more for story then romance for their character.

In other words...Bestlanders.

Huh, the responses on this thread made me doubt my initial presumptions.

Come on, somebody...invoke the wrath of tumblr...tell us how insecure you feel by Hotlanders and Roegadames...let us see your masculinity threatened by them.

Anyone?

I find all of the females beautiful, personally. I don't find Lalafell females "sexy", per se, but they can still be pretty. Though that doesn't mean a Lalafell couldn't have a sexy personality! I've met at least two of those. :P

Anyway, we all know that Merlwyb being the sexiest woman on the whole planet is objective fact, soooooo...

Plz marry me, Merlwyb. *sobs*
