Milana Mina

She gets really bad calluses and corns on the bottom of her feet so she spends half a fortune at salons keeping them clean and cute.

Yamanji Zenji

When he's sleeping he gets a little pop, instead of a normal snore.

Blue Vann

She has no physical strength whatsoever. Ask her to slap you, and it'll be like she gently petted you.

Jet'a Vann

When someone says something that embarassess him, his tail puffs up, though he keeps a statue-like expression.

Vincent Laucent

Though he acts pure and innocent, his Elezen pride still strikes him from time to time, especially when he is mistaken for a woman or people bring him his young age.

Aki Hitoame

Due to her skin condition, when she blushes her face gets bluer, not redder.

Yesui Hotgo

She believed that the way babies are born was that a man and a woman must first get married, then have dinner together, and then the food would be digested and they'd poop a child instead of... that other stuff.

Kujh'a Lihzeh

He is terrified of women, and thinks they are all out there to kill him. Like, seriously.

Clive Stark

He is afraid of needles. And though he's allergic to fish, his dream for retirement at old age is to become a fisherman. He wouldn't eat the fish he catches, just hang it for trophy.

Doctor Ozerov is quirks all over. One of them is his almost religious dedication to tax evasion in Eorzea. He will do whatever he can and go to great lengths to avoid paying the governments of any region a penny more than he thinks they deserve.

He changes his hair near constantly

He has a bad habit of yanking Au Ra horns and tails to the point it is sometimes an instinctual reaction

Blake Forester likes to collect tiny animals that he doesn't eat. He enjoys playing music but doesn't play in front of others, often scrunching up into nooks and corners to play in private. He likes small spaces, despising open areas and he cannot stand sweets yet loves to cook them.

Virara hates bald people. Not old people who are balding, but naturally bald or shave-headed younger people. She finds the shine of their smooth chrome dome menacing and depraved. The first she met who was not an elderly, balding senior was Otto Van. She could sense, somehow, that it was him even when he was wearing full armor and a helm. Perhaps her honed fighter instincts make her instinctively aware of the presence of baldness as well as enemy threats.

Ameline has a strong fear and distrust for healers and healing magick. She will not let them tend to her wounds under any circumstance. Even those few healers she has come to trust or befriend she would not allow to treat her for even the most minor injury.

- She loves raisins (yuck!) and fails to understand why so many people dislike them.

- She's extremely ticklish, but you'll probably regret trying to find this one out.

- She absolutely despises Efts, and will kill one on sight if it even looks her way and she can afford to. Bad experiences with one in her childhood.

- She has a strong dislike for insects.

- She can be VERY cowardly.

- If she can throw her responsibilities on someone else's shoulders, she likely will.

- She's very cautious/intimidated/avoidant of Elezen males. This is due to elements of her backstory mixed with IC experiences.

His sister convinced him that there is a "Goddess of Sweets" when he was younger, and to this day he hasn't figured out that she was joking.  Every time he has something that he categorizes as sweets (candy, cake, etc.) he gives a silent prayer of thanks.  The fact that he has found no mention of her or her followers hasn't clicked yet.

♦ Despite being blind, Mistalv takes great pride in making herself as presentable as she can.

♦ She is terrified of boats. The swaying of the ship and isolation from land haunts her to this day.

♦ Airships unnerve her, but she can at least tolerate riding one every once in a while.

♦ Soft textures are Mistalv's favorite, and she will absently stroke them if she gets her hands on some.

♦ Mistalv completely despises the pet name "Misty"

♦ Is instant on calling men 'Master' and women 'Lady' followed by their surname if known, otherwise she will use the first with the title. There are few exceptions to this. And she is often slightly offended when asked to stop this.

  • Edda is unable to say the names of people that have deeply wounded her emotionally, or those she simply hates.
  • A flock of dodos will send her into a state of hysterical fear. Screaming, crying, running away, etc.
  • Though she consciously tries to eat sparingly in order to mind her weight and appearance, she will occasionally go into trance-like states where she can consume vast quantities of food without even being aware she is doing so.
  • Her slaps are remarkably well-practiced, sharp, and painful, while appearing graceful and effortless. Edda is able to slap anyone with near-perfect aim and control of hand vs. air aerodynamics. This is the only way she is able to inflict physical harm on anyone - any other types of efforts will fail spectacularly.

Virella can't swim; does not like getting close to the sea.

Is only really polite to Ishgardians, rest has to gain a shred of respect.

Damn Ishgardians...

Flower hates crowds as well as having her back to people she doesn't know or trust and will often have panic attacks if she is enclosed in an area until she can find a safety net (Someone she knows and trusts to hide behind or just leaving all together)

Flower is prone to scale picking and will pull off healthy scales on her body when stressed.

Flower can't swim but isn't afraid of water. Will sit in the shallow ends of the pool/ocean/hotsprings and relax.

  • Has a love of being picked up, bonus points if the person is tall and strong enough to lift over their heads. She's extremely light, which is a perk for being picked up. Doesn't admit to it.
  • Septhaja has a fear of deep water, recently she has been able to cope in shallow water. This is due to a traumatic experience in the past. She cannot bring herself to step on a boat under any circumstances because of this.
  • While she appears to be quite caring and kind and in some cases grumpy, she is constantly wary of people's agendas when they are having a conversation with her. This is especially a thing when dealing with new people who approach her first.

-Eses has spent over 20 years in total silence. During this time, she communicated solely with a notebook and with all the time spent drawing and writing, she took to a literature and art as a hobby. As a result of her talents with the pen, Eses has written various titles and drawn several portraits of living figures before she came of adult age. However, her adolescent brain mixed in with this and all of her art and literature were of an erotic persuasion, forcing her to take on an alias and publish it through more aged family members.

Her works have earned her a small cult following for her tragic stories of sex, sadness and corruption, though has never been found out by her adoring readers.

-Eses is obsessed with the rain and the sea to the point where she spent one of her five years training in the arts of the Dragoon to swim with inhuman speed, stamina and breath-holding time.

-Her thighs can bend metal!

-She is afraid of lightning!

-As she was born out on a ship amongst her nomadic family, it is unclear whether Eses can be considered to be Eorzean.

-She briefly assisted the Coeurlclaws in various acts of terrorism as she never understood the precise definition of 'poaching'.

-She's wanted in suspicion for various murders within the region of Thanalan.

-Her devotion to the Weaver, Nymeia has her obsessed with luck and chance. She makes sure to bring her lucky goggles, lucky pants, lucky undies, lucky notebook and lucky ear-clamps for almost every occasion.

-Her chipper attitude is mostly a facade for crushing depression! Yay!

Whenever he is nervous, embarrassed or bashful it's not unusual for Graeham to rub the back of his neck. It's a habit he hasn't broken yet, even though he now usually has his hands clad in steel.

He's also - understandably - terrified of anything undead. His first real fight was against a reanimated corpse and it haunts his dreams to this day. He'll often eye corpses suspiciously and warily as if expecting them to rise up and attack him.

His 'end game' is to try and secure peace between Eorzea and Garlemald. One of his biggest fears is that those like himself with Garlean blood in their veins will be persecuted and executed if Ala Mhigo is liberated - even in the case of innocent civilians and children.

Delial is a terrible dancer, but she loves dancing. She is a far better singer, but she hates singing.

She has a soft spot for babies and is both mystified and terrified of the prospect of maybe someday having one of her own. They're so small and pitiful and if you drop one it'll probably break!

Animals put her on edge. She is secretly convinced that they will somehow deem her a Terrible Person and go out of their way to be difficult, so if she has the choice, she will leave handling them to other people. Even her own chocobo, Vigil, has always been very testy with her and seemed to prefer the company of others.

The easiest way to get on her good side is to bring her offerings: bottles of wine, books, beautiful little things. They don't even have to be worth anything. She just likes to imagine she commands that sort of presence that others would bring her gifts before seeking her words or her wisdom or whatever else they might want. It's an ego thing, probably.

Quirky traits...

Aiswynd is extremely intimidated by the concept of tending to and growing plants, but every plant he has taken care of has ended up in better health than before due to having a natural green thumb

He also can mimic the purring sounds of a happy coeurl kitten

Cecilia keeps a small journal filled entirely with bawdy songs and and incredibly graphic dirty poetry that she writes herself. She guards this journal with her life and would see it destroyed before she allowed anyone else to read it.

When she is certain she is alone and out of earshot of others, she will say out loud some of the worst language she can think of. This includes curses to make a Lominsan blush, incredibly dirty innuendo, and some of the worst racial slurs she can think of. She sees this as a kind of cathartic release.

Though she puts on a kind and friendly face in public, she automatically assumes everyone she meets is stupid until proven otherwise.

Jay loves a good joke of any type. Puns make her laugh the hardest.

She has a fat cat named Lump. She is her therapy animal.

Jay is very fond of small children and enjoys spending time with them and teaching them.

Her old fighting style involved a lot of kicking similar to Taekwondo. Since her accident, it has evolved to a style involving pushes and avoidance similar to Tai Chi.

She is terrified of the void and anything even remotely involving it.

L'yhta:

  • Is obsessed with her appearance, particularly for an adventurer, and will agonize over what to wear (and what should be enchanted during synthesis) as well as even the slightest callous, bruise, or scar. She's willing to go to considerable lengths to get rid of them.
  • Carries around a bag of candied fruits that she snacks on.
  • Has never had a very good conception of gil and will regularly grossly overpay for minor services, much to the chagrin of her retainer.
  • Enjoys drawing, despite being terrible at it. She would die of embarrassment if anyone saw her "art" journal.
  • Is deathly afraid of being alone, despite spending a lot of time by herself. She couldn't bear to have no place to call home and no adopted family to go back to.
  • Emits more exclamation marks in one day than some do in their entire lives, and punctuates sentences with "you know," "right," and "okay."

EDIT: Heh, I forgot her most obvious and well-known quirk.

Very early in his time in Thanalan's mercenary armies (pre-Flames), as a very green recruit his fellow recruits played a prank on him. Erik, who was until this time had only lived in the north (Ala Mhigo/Gridania), had gone to bed in his tent, only to wake up the next morning, his tent full of calm Cactaur. Calm until he screamed like a little girl and spooked the mobs. He was in the medical tent for hours removing the needles. Not his proudest moment, to this day he is scared of needles and phobic of cactaurs.

Some of the funniest rpes I've had with him is in the GS where he is very fearful/suspicious of the tux wearing cactaurs walking about.

- Nathan has no idea who his father is, or what the man might have looked like, except that he was a big guy. His mother refused to say anything more, and no one else in his (now lost) family troupe knew anything.

- He has recently adopted the black kitten that used to follow him around, naming it "Minuet"

- Nathan is rather pacifistic. While he is not entirely opposed to violence, he will make every attempt to find a non-violent solution to any situation he is in...

- ...unless someone takes or damages his lute. This offense bypasses all charm or good nature he has, and leaves him remembering that he is a very large, fit, and strong individual who actually does know how to brawl better than most people even suspect.

- He has developed a strong dislike for the taste of pumpkins after a drinking contest that went poorly.

-Orleans is usually seen reading a book.  They aren't military treatises, tactical manuals, or books from famous warriors.  His usual fare is poetry and philosophy, with a healthy dose of legal opinions to keep him current.

-Orleans carries business cards calling him an "Assets and Personnel Management Consultant."  He treats his job like a business, to the point of keeping accurate tax books on all taxable income, always asking for receipts so he can write off what's legal, but he even asks for receipts for what isn't legal so he can keep accurate records.

-Orleans was actually born to criminal enterprise as a pirate.  However, as it turns out, his job in that capacity wasn't just as the thug he is today.  Orleans has degrees in maritime and criminal law and in finance, and were he to renew his license, he would be a certified attorney.

-Orleans dislikes having discussions with a door open, even if there is no chance of being heard outside it... or even if the discussion is perfectly innocent.

-Orleans maintains insurance policies on all his "employees" and tends to insure his ventures in some capacity, as long as he can still conceal their sometimes illegal natures.

-Orleans has a love of Benedictine, but can't often find it.  To him, the mark of a bar worth anything is whether they have Benedictine.  Should they not, Orleans instantly distrusts the establishment's basic ability to function; it's just a "hole in a wall".

-Despite having many of his companions and employees as Miqo'te, Orleans instinctively dislikes and distrusts them.  He instinctively assumes they are unprofessional and prone to flashes of emotional fancy.

-Orleans instinctively leans back and crosses his legs when sitting at a table, as a learned habit to hide his height.  Orleans is shockingly tall for an Elezen, topping seven foot nine.  This makes sure he's a bit less conspicuous in public and less identifiable on sight.

-The brand of cigar Orleans smokes is thin and black, but few know it's imported from a loyalist Garlean artisan.  Orleans maintains an account under a black alias to be able to import Garlean goods (it's actually one of the ways he makes money).

-Most warriors have sheathes for hidden knives, but Orleans might be the only one with a concealed sheath for a steel-barreled and durable fountain pen, in case he needs to sign something or write official correspondence while armored.  In fact, he is never without a pen, to a rather strange degree.  Even when showering, he keeps a pen in a case with his towel.
