He'd never sit on the seat himself. Plays like his tend to end up being exclusive counsel or any other "I'm not the monarch honest" title. Sounds more like how you'd handle government in the Three Kingdoms than anything else. I'm a "burn it all to the ground"-ist. Kell himself comes from a land where you essentially grow/raise your own shit and only commerce to get what you can't do yourself. Ul'dah is pretty much the antithesis of his homeland.

I honestly hope that CoB drops become dyeable once Heavensward hits.

Found people outside (and even inside sometimes) of this community being in the large majority unhelpful pricks when it comes to these fights so yeah DF seems like it'd be out of the question. Also, 2.56 will probably add FCoB to DF if they're nerfing it.

Eh, the nerfs won't make finding a group that doesn't blow easier to do 'em, and non-video guides won't be updated, making them harder to learn even if they're easier to execute.

So I have a problem with my bathtub - handle's broken, won't come off, there's a slow trickle of water flowing that I can't stop since I got no idea where the valve to cut off the supply is to that part is. I already called the landlord. If I could remember the building's caretaker's number I'd call him directly because he's much faster. The problem is because there's running water I can't just leave here.

From what I hear, it's warriors that are looking for the new class rather than paladins. I'll be leveling one as well, but I'm leveling everything on Kell anyway.

My guess is that they're organized loosely - in that there's a central hierarchy, but agents can operate on their own for long periods of time without having to check in. Chances are the story will involve the WoL being asked to bring the Dark Knights' brand of justice throughout their travels, kind of like a Free Paladin still being one, but not one beholden to the Sultana.

I originally wanted my Au Ra to be DRG but that was dependent entirely on the rumor that they'd be dragon equivalents to miqo'te. Now that this isn't really the case, I'd probably go for a DRK set-up with the Xaela. He'd abandon the tribal conflict as the Raen once did. Only he would not settle, he would keep wandering the land with greatsword in tow. Probably won't have any canonical DRK setups until he actually joins the Dark Knights, but yanno.

I'd join the man train but the only way Kell could wear less clothes is showing up naked.

HUNBERCT LONGHAFT and his well-oiled lever. The "Puff-Puff" is DQ tradition at this point and I wouldn't really count it as part of FFXIV. Word for word they reused the same gag as in DQ8 (where it's shown that what's being rubbed in your face isn't exactly breasts) which was fine considering the game's rating but snurbles would certainly feel... hairy. Still, I wholeheartedly agree, be they implied and dark or barely overt and comedic, there's no shortage of it in-game.

Yeah sure it's documented, but the game's lore is there for us to expound upon, not limit ourselves. I'm fairly willing to retcon some shit if I'm wrong and there's in-game/dev confirmation I fucked up. Why y'all gotta be difficult about changing stuff/forcing other people to change stuff preemptively?

It also comes from the fact that if they defend the downtrodden from the abuses of the Holy See, they'd have to work in the... Dark.

From my understanding, if you pledge your life to Halone, if you live your life entirely through Ishgardian customs, you will be accepted in Ishgard REGARDLESS of race. You may not end up in positions of power due to prejudices but we've not really seen an example of that (unlike, y'know, Gridanian racism which is essentially 90% of the storylines involving Gridania). As others've pointed out in this thread, it's never really about race with Ishgard, but unbelievers. If you believe the Ishgard dogma about Halone, chances are you'll be welcomed with open arms, though viewed with suspicion at first.

Astrologians not being inspired by Ishgarde actually makes sense. IIRC their studies of the stars are concentrated SOLELY on the Dravinian one, and ignore everything else. At best, they're scouting scientists. Tying 'em to Sharlayan makes even more sense in that context. I know I'm rollin' a Xaela Au Ra. Just gimme naming conventions.

Like seriously the only place that wouldn't be plausible to have ALL the races is Gridania due to how strict the Elementals are, and even then... You have everything but Roes in 2.0. People just wanna hate to hate is what I've seen in this thread. SMH. Pretty sure if I looked far enough I could take a shit on every single character in this thread because nothing is absolutely lore-proof. Since, you know IT'S STILL BEING WRITTEN and IT CAN'T COVER EVERYTHING.
