Hello there! I'm Bhratwyb, and I'm on the hunt for connections for my Roegadyn main. Bhrat is a former pirate gone member of the Maelstrom, and uses their talents picked up as a captain of a pirating vessel to great effect on the battlefield. They're a natural born leader and not too shabby with their gunblade either. They're an extroverted soul that enjoys interacting with others, be they new acquaintances or old friends, but their trust is hard to earn—though when it's there they're a steadfast friend for life (unless you were to do something to break that trust, anyway). I'm hoping to meet people interested in adventurous RP, along with the occasional slow session with slice of life themes. Variety is the spice of life, and too much of one singular thing can get somewhat stale. Hooks MERCENARY FOR HIRE. Bhratwyb is something of a skilled mercenary, though they also specifically sell their services as a bodyguard from time to time. Looking at their position as little more than political shackles, Bhratwyb at least wears a smile about the Maelstrom in public. Any fellow member of the Maelstrom may openly wonder how someone so reluctant to follow orders has made it as far as they have. RETIRED PIRATE. They spent most of their life aboard ships as a ruthless pirate, cutting a bloody swath especially through the Rhotano Sea. Pirates or sea-fairing merchants might be able to recognize them from that former chapter of their life. BOZJAN RESISTANCE. While not there to see things to their conclusion, Bhratwyb still fought alongside others for the liberation of Bozja from the hands of Garlemald. Their voice could have been heard over the booming of magitek artillery fire. MENTOR/MENTEE. During the early stages of the Bozjan resistance, Bhratwyb served alongside the ranks of true Gunbreakers, learning the basics of their trade in the brief window they were involved in. While they know their stuff enough by now to pass along to others, they aren’t opposed to someone more skilled than them sharing some extra lessons. What I'm Looking For STORY. Nothing is greater to me in roleplay than character development. I'm a huge fan of the story and the journey. QUALITY. I'm less picky about how many paragraphs you write than how well you write them. We all make mistakes and I'm not going to judge you for a spelling error or some typos. COMMUNICATION. Silence is the RP killer. If you need to take a break due to real life, or you're not happy with the direction the RP is going, please say something! If we don't communicate things won't last very long, and it's a two way street we should both walk together. LONG-TERM. Anything that last more than a couple of RP sessions is greatly favorable over the alternative. I'm a big fan of character development and growth, and these more easily come to those longstanding plots that take their time to chew through. FRIENDSHIP. Little inspires personal growth more than a friendly (or even not so friendly) rivalry. Someone to compare yourself to and measure yourself against. ADVENTURE. This tavern—nestled along the shore of the Mists—serves as a reprieve from the ails of the realm. It’s frequented by all manner of adventurers, mercenaries, scholars, and even a few rare Grand Company members. Seated at the bar, they’re united by a search for fruitful work and unique opportunities. Camaraderie through arms, or at least a desire for a plump coinpurse. From this gathering point, they organize hunts, leves, or missions for Voidsent, Primals, and other problematic creatures (or people) that may threaten the safety of those they deem to care about—or for a large sum of gil. Or both! There are many types of characters within the clan and each has its own motives for being part of the group. What will yours be? « WHAT DOES OUR FREE COMPANY OFFER? » Again, we’re a group of characters that are either friends, acquaintances, or new patrons of the House of the Hidden Pearl Inn & Tavern (FC House - Mist, Ward 6, Plot 30). There is an IC Linkshell/Clan (Ardent Lotus) that characters can join after RPing for a while if they are interested in participating in more exclusive/leves and FC events. However, joining the Lotus Clan is not mandatory for FC membership, and is certainly not expected of all members right from the get-go. We aim to have natural progression rather than “forced” membership. As for FC-wide events, officers of the FC host two adventure/mission type of events on a monthly basis. These are planned ahead of time and put on our guild calendar. Members are welcome and encouraged to set up and run their own events in between, as well! These can be leve/mission types or events for personal character development plots. We want everyone in our group to get the type of RP they want, and give them avenues to make it happen. Also, during Discord RP events, we feature a very basic trait/dice-roll system that is akin to D&D style games. This allows for some unexpected twist and turns, as well as for certain characters to tailor their dice-rolls with nods to their innate talents. (Please contact an officer for a copy of our current Character Trait/Limit Break system if you want more details!) Our FC also features two monthly tavern social events. One is advertised on the Crystal RP Calendar bot and the other is not--for our folks that prefer a smaller crowd. Well, as the title says! I've generally been away from the game a while due to classes and commitments IRL, which--admittedly, come fairly often around Fall/Spring, but come Summer I may have some more time than I even do now. That being said, I'm making this kind of a casual search. Not really in a big rush for Luke to choose someone/me to decide on a longterm RP partner for him. I enjoy slow burns, and RP that can build into small plotlines and character building. I /do/ enjoy the passionate 'ERP' that may come of their relationship, but I wouldn't like their relation to be purely that. It might be a portion, but not the whole of the dinnerplate. I also require 18+ character/player, as I do not FTB. I am 28 years IRL should it matter. Garlean themes tend to be prevalent around this character, as do some void themes (but he does not usually seek void out, as he doesn't understand it). I'm open to additional themes (dark, torture, etc.) I enjoy near all themes of RP--slice of life, dark/torture, etc. Dont have much in the way of triggers. If I feel uncomfy, I am communicative. I prefer public based RP, instead of sitting in a room all the time (as long as we break it up I dont mind). I just prefer a partner who enjoys meeting other RPers and doing events (Lucius owns a restaurant). Also prefer playing IG instead of discord unless absolutely necessary (servers down, IRL financial issues, etc.) I would also like to potentially have the characters IC bonded--make the wedding something fun and spectacular. So, preferably I'd like to meet characters native to Balmung, but I would be open to meeting others from other servers that can transfer to Balmung. Hello there! I'm still relatively new to FFXIV but am a long time role play veteran (been RPing since 2001 in various mediums). I'm looking for someone who's willing to help me learn the lore both of the game and Viera in particular, as I wish to portray a Viera WHM/AST, and perhaps some DOH/DOL aspects to help flush out who she is as an individual. I'm interested in romance first and foremost (slow burn most especially), with slice of life, action, adventure, intrigue and angst as additional facets to create a well rounded story. I'm okay with most themes, so don't be shy about telling me what you're interested in. My preferred method of RP'ing is Discord. I'm absolutely that person who'd happily have our characters logged in and curled up in personal housing or in some locale throughout the game as a reminder of who we "are" while we write! I am not interested in in-game RP, but I am free and enthusiastic to meet any prospective RP partner in-game OOC if we so agree; running dungeon, running raid, climbing Kugane tower, taking screenshots - like, skybox is the limit. And do not let my characters get out without little scars onto their skin or mind, or both. I'm not afraid to leave my characters lose, a lot. But I promise that they'll put on losing fight with gusto. Views on IC romance: I approve; the sugar of romance compliments the salt of the danger and anxiety very nicely. My characters have no set strict orientation. When it comes to RP I think the chemistry and compatibility between personalities is more important than if they are guys or girls or both or neither. Love is love. I think plotting romantic tension, if that is something both parties want, is fun way to lay some groundwork for the upcoming RP even before the writing begins. I write ERP too, but not as stand-alone self-satisfactory titillation + it is not any way something I must have. Fade-to-black and sexlessness is equally good route. If all that is there, it's gotta be part of the story; like with aggression and violence in RP, I do not much like erotica and sensuality just randomly be there for the sake of it itself. I am hopeless fujoshi, so there is that, I guess But none of my guy characters are exclusively gay, as stated. In such pairing they might have top tendency, or faux sore loser tendency. And most importantly; ladies are welcomed and embraced in this romance scenario business, equally! Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I approve; familial relationships, antagonistic relationships, uncertain connections - potential is right there and it is awesome. I am staunchly pro-plotting as I do not think it takes anything away from the writing itself. And when I talk about plotting I mean some general "but then happened or might happen!" flavored guidelines. If it cannot be bend or break if something better comes by, it was likely not very fun plot to begin with. I am interested in miqo'tes and au ras being, well, miqo'tes and au ras together. So any culturally/behaviorally cat people things for Jitah'li and any xaela centric socialization for Ika are shamelessly sought out by me, but naturally those are not only kind of encounters I wish for, because the characters itself are not that weirdly insular/in-group focused. Lunar Rose Academy offers weekly lessons in various subjects, in addition to larger community plots and fun one-off events like field trips. We are based on Balmung, but anyone on the Crystal Datacenter can join us thanks to the world visit feature. The school is centered around the theme of adventure; the curriculum consists of activities and lessons that will prepare the students for a life of adventuring, offering practical knowledge on topics such as combat, first-aid and magic. Both the teachers and students at Lunar are players roleplaying their characters. In addition we have characters that work as school staff, for example running security. We have a free company house that serves as the school grounds, but we also often venture out to the vast world of Eorzea too! Typical roleplaying activities at Lunar Rose Academy include: School classes following a set schedule Student-run clubs Casual roleplay in a school setting School field trips and other seasonal events Collaborations with other RP groups and communities ...And more! We are an 18+ Free Company, and yes, sometimes our roleplay may stray in to mature atmospheres. We do not shy away from this, and take it as it comes. We welcome any and all alignments, but if you start summoning voidsent in the middle of the yard, you might have a very angry little kitten to deal with. We hope to offer multiple events on the regular, including: Twice a week map runs, because who doesn't like a bit of extra gil in their pocket? Weekly content runs, up to a vote on what people want to do! Bird farms, learning EX primals, farming old raids like Coil and Alex for Glamors and Mounts Frequent and flavorful smaller, FC focused RP events. We're an adventurers guild, so we want to offer small little RP events for people to get acclimated and make contacts, from smaller Levequests meant for a party, to Guildhests that might string along a few events together. Open world Roleplay. There's so many wonderful locations in the game to choose from, yet people constrain themselves to their houses so often. Why not have a party at Limsa, with everyone invited? Caravanning brought her the work and the world she wanted, if only just enough to see the next place, next town, village, city. Within two years, Whimsy stayed stable enough to eventually purchase a workshop where she turned her company inward, less on carrying goods from place a to b, and more towards creating the goods and taking them herself, bringing herself from middle-woman to business woman. Though profit margins were still slim and her drive to be out in the world return, she partnered with Doctor Dazai and merged with his Medical company to take Whimsy to the next level. Wandering Whimsy went from tiny humble caravan to company filled with adventure, creation, and dream making, seeking to make new dreams come true, and tell new stories of adventure. The world of Eorzea is large and wide, and those of all walks of life come and go. Within the forests of South Shroud has a hermit of a raen made herself known; trailing within the world to find new beginnings and experiences. Greetings and well wishes! I am looking for long term companions and any connections for a natural growth and blooming of a healer experiencing the world first hand! My taste is rather easy to please as long as someone is interested in interacting with a more mysterious and hushed soul. All themes are welcome and I am not picky -- I am just looking for more people to interact with in general to see what kind of story I can build and to see how connections will help my character grow out of her closed off shell. I also find myself interested in anyone who might relate to her; botanists, Wildwoods, Shamans, religious figures. Those who have a connection with nature and the forests themselves, and those who bury themselves in a religious or philosophical belief. Detailed writing is a huge part of this character for she expresses herself through a lot of thoughts and body language so I tend to write a lot.
